Progression and Transition Coordinator

About the role

The Progression and Transition Coordinator joins the Student Experience Team at the Bath International Study Centre. You will coordinate progression, support and transition activities, ensuring students receive high‑quality guidance and interventions throughout their studies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one personal development, academic and progression counselling to students.
• Plan, deliver and monitor Academic Success tutorials and related learning materials.
• Maintain and update the virtual learning environment, embedding digital learning technologies.
• Track VLE analytics, attendance and performance data to identify gaps and trigger interventions.
• Collaborate with academic tutors and the Data & Operations team to design appropriate support strategies.
• Produce reports on student destinations and refer students to the Extended Progression Team when needed.
• Liaise with partner universities to create transition activities and foster community integration.
• Coordinate and motivate Progression & Engagement Officers, ensuring effective delivery of the student experience.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating student progression, support or transition services.
• Ability to work collaboratively with academic staff, operations teams and external university partners.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills, with attention to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills for one‑to‑one counselling and group facilitation.
