Project Architect – Workplace/Commercial (Manchester)

About the role

An award‑winning employee‑owned architectural practice is looking for a Project Architect to lead the design of a £20 million semi‑industrial training facility in Manchester. The scheme includes classrooms, workshops, an auditorium and flexible workspaces and is currently at RIBA Stage 3.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical development of the training facility.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Produce and review technical information, drawings and project documentation.
• Support delivery through RIBA Stages 3‑5, ensuring quality, programme adherence and design intent.
• Collaborate closely with the wider project team to maintain project standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Architect (or international equivalent) with strong workplace or commercial experience.
• Ability to step into a Project Architect role and take ownership immediately.
• Excellent technical and coordination abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
