Project Controls Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering high‑profile infrastructure projects across the UK. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will support major programmes in transport, aviation, energy, water, defence and the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Support planning, cost control, forecasting, change management and risk analysis activities.
• Produce project reports, dashboards and performance metrics for internal teams and clients.
• Analyse project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and assist with mitigation planning.
• Assist with earned value management, project reporting and governance processes.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, planners and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls processes, systems and reporting.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Project Controls, Planning or Project Controls Engineering role.
• Experience supporting major infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost management and project reporting.
• Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline (desirable).
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
