Project Controls Manager – Glasgow (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join the Programme Management Office in Glasgow for an initial six‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role is primarily on‑site and involves overseeing project planning, monitoring progress and ensuring robust governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans for all assigned programmes.
• Track progress against the baseline, highlighting any early or delayed activities.
• Regularly liaise with project teams to capture the latest status, risks and issues.
• Implement and monitor effective project controls, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.
• Produce periodic reports to support the Project Manager’s reporting requirements.
• Undertake reasonable duties aligned with the seniority of the position.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience in programme planning or project controls, preferably within construction, infrastructure or capital projects.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships at all organisational levels.
• Willingness to attend site visits and adhere to local safety procedures.

Required skills

• High proficiency with Microsoft Project (MSP) and other programme management tools.
