Project Director – Construction Consultancy

About the role

An ambitious consultancy is seeking a Project Management Director to lead its expansion into Manchester and the wider North West. The role offers the chance to establish a new regional presence, bring client relationships into the business and build a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of business development across Manchester and the North West, identifying opportunities and converting relationships into project management instructions.
• Recruit, lead and mentor a local project management team as the regional pipeline develops.
• Shape the Manchester strategy, including target clients, sectors, recruitment and future growth plans.

Required profile

• Strong network across the Manchester and North West property market.
• Proven experience winning project management consultancy instructions and senior‑level consultancy project management experience.
• Established relationships with developers, investors and property clients.
• Experience across residential, commercial, hotel and mixed‑use developments.
• Previous experience building, managing and mentoring project teams.
• Relevant construction, project management or property degree and professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB).
