Project Engineer – ICA / MEICA – Water Projects

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Project Engineer to lead ICA and MEICA delivery on water and wastewater projects within the Thames Water framework. The role combines on‑site engineering, commissioning and client liaison, offering a balanced mix of office design work and field execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ICA/MEICA project delivery from design review through installation, commissioning, handover and completion.
• Develop and review commissioning plans, procedures, checklists and technical documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, site teams, clients and water operations to schedule works, outages and testing.
• Support fault finding and configuration of PLCs, control panels, instrumentation and communication systems.
• Ensure all systems are installed and tested in line with project specifications and design standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer, ICA Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, MEICA Engineer or Controls Engineer in the water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Ability to take ownership of technical delivery and work effectively on site.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors and internal teams.
