Project Engineer – MRB (Night Shift)

About the role

Airbus Belfast is seeking a Project Engineer to lead Material Review Board (MRB) design activities on the night shift. You will provide technical guidance across structures and systems installation, ensuring compliance with design and air‑worthiness standards while supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear technical leadership, mentorship and innovative solutions to complex design problems.
• Own assigned projects or work packages, meeting technical milestones, schedules and budgets.
• Maintain deep design‑engineering expertise to advise across the design‑to‑manufacturing lifecycle.
• Conduct feasibility studies, explore project extensions and coordinate with cross‑functional specialists, customers and suppliers.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years design‑engineering experience (or HNC/HND with 5 years).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures or systems installation and relevant aerospace regulatory requirements (CAA, EASA, FAA).
• Proven ability to work with senior management, customers, suppliers and certification authorities.
• Excellent presentation, organisational skills and motivation to lead a specialist engineering team.
