Project Finance Analyst

About the role

The Project Finance Analyst will join Core Power’s Commercial Analytics team to develop and maintain finance models for floating nuclear power plants and commercial marine nuclear propulsion projects. The role supports deal economics, capital formation, and investor engagement for a pre‑revenue, first‑of‑a‑kind energy business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain project finance models covering SPV structures, capital stacks, cash‑flow, IRR, NPV and DSCR.
• Model offtake and revenue structures, including PPA pricing, tolling, charter and lease arrangements.
• Develop financing scenarios, sensitivity analyses and benchmark against comparable transactions.
• Provide economic analysis, cost modelling and lifecycle cost assessments for delivery programmes.
• Prepare deal economics and pricing analysis for commercial negotiations and investor materials.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience in project finance (bank, infrastructure fund, developer, utility or advisory).
• Strong financial modelling capability with advanced Excel; Python is a plus.
• Working knowledge of SPVs, off‑take contracts, security packages and lender requirements.
• Ability to work across technical and engineering interfaces in a novel industry.
