Project Finance Manager

About the role

The client is a PE‑backed consultancy focused on sustainability and innovation, seeking a senior finance professional to act as the bridge between finance and project teams for a leading transport engineering practice in London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead a small team and partner with senior leadership to deliver accurate, timely reporting and commercial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance liaison for project teams, translating financial data into actionable project insights.
• Manage two direct reports, ensuring high‑quality delivery of group and external financial reporting.
• Support the Head of Finance and senior leadership with commercial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Drive business‑partnering activities in a fast‑moving project environment, without statutory reporting responsibilities.

Required profile

• Proven project finance experience is essential.
• Background in consulting, engineering or design sectors is advantageous.
• Strong interest in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
