Project Management Director

About the role

The client is a dynamic residential and commercial property consultancy based in London, seeking a Project Management Director to lead the delivery of commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects. This senior leadership position will shape strategy, drive growth and foster collaboration across technical and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for multiple commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high standards.
• Act as trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders, building long‑term relationships and influencing property decisions.
• Lead, develop and support project managers and surveyors, strengthening capability across the wider team.
• Advise clients during early workplace and property strategy stages to shape successful project delivery.
• Support business development through market insight, commercial awareness and strong client relationships.
• Review fee structures and commercial models to enhance project performance.
• Represent the business externally to raise its market profile.
• Drive continuous improvement by embedding technology, more efficient ways of working and CRM systems (Hubspot).
• Deliver the technical team’s strategy in line with wider business objectives and lead revenue growth through pipeline management.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering commercial office fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of Design & Build and traditional procurement routes.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to develop and support high‑performing project teams.
• Commercial awareness with confidence in building long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative approach balancing strategic leadership and hands‑on project delivery.
