Project Management Placement – 12.5‑month Internship

About the role

Join Airbus’s advanced Broughton manufacturing facility as part of the Business Support and Health & Safety team for the A350 wing family. This 12.5‑month placement offers a hands‑on project‑management experience, bridging daily operations with long‑term strategic initiatives to support production ramp‑up and safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous‑improvement projects from concept to execution, tracking cost‑saving milestones and managing timelines across the assembly line.
• Conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to uphold a zero‑accident culture.
• Map workflows and apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency.
• Act as a liaison between shop‑floor operators, engineering teams and senior management to drive stakeholder buy‑in and positive safety behaviours.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate studying Business, Management, Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Interest in lean manufacturing, aviation and problem‑solving.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration and project tools such as Google Workspace/G‑Suite.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, able to facilitate meetings and influence stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to take ownership of project outcomes.
