Project Manager – Autonomous Systems

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join Randstad Technologies' innovative, experimentation‑driven unit focused on autonomous systems, robotics and aerospace concepts. You will provide strategic oversight and execution across a diverse portfolio, from rapid‑prototyping research initiatives to complex hardware development and full‑scale system integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer‑ and internally‑funded projects through the full lifecycle, emphasizing concept generation, rapid prototyping and concurrent engineering.
• Provide functional direction, coaching and mentorship to project leads and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Oversee project budgets, resource allocation and ensure revenue and cost targets are met.
• Manage end‑to‑end bid activities, including cost estimation, resource planning and proposal writing.
• Act as primary contact for key customers, manage supply‑chain relationships and negotiate deliverables.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives, implement SOPs and track performance against KPIs.
• Maintain robust project schedules, resolve resource conflicts and execute risk‑mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Formal Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM or equivalent) with a solid background in product development or engineering.
• Proven track record delivering projects in fast‑paced research, complex hardware lifecycles and system integration.
• Hands‑on experience with concept development, rapid prototyping and experimentation in unmanned systems, aerospace or advanced technology sectors.
• Strong expertise in budget management, financial tracking and risk management.
