Project Manager – Civil Engineering (South West)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects across the South West. You will be responsible for delivering projects from early stages through construction to handover, ensuring safety, programme adherence and budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects safely, on programme and within budget.
• Lead site delivery teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee project programmes, resources and key milestones.
• Identify and manage project risks, delays and changes.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and design teams throughout delivery.
• Maintain client relationships and provide project reporting.
• Ensure quality and environmental standards are upheld.
• Take projects through to successful completion and handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager for a main contractor in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong track record of managing projects and site teams.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to manage clients and stakeholders confidently.
• Experience across utilities, heavy civils or water‑related projects is advantageous.
• Open to candidates from a broader civil engineering background.
