Project Manager – Construction (Aberdeen)

About the role

CHAP are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction and maintenance projects from inception through to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall project delivery, including programme progress, cost control, labour management and subcontractor coordination.
• Develop construction programmes from tender schedules, monitor weekly progress against plan.
• Liaise with design teams to produce work package schedules and information requirement schedules.
• Participate in strategic discussions and planning as a member of the Construction management team.
• Set and uphold standards for quality, health and safety, leading by example on site.
• Supervise, mentor and train direct reports, identifying training needs.

Required profile

• CSCS Card and CSCS Manager’s Card.
• SMSTS certification.
• Driver’s licence.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• NVQ/SVQ Level 5 management qualification (desirable or willing to achieve).
• First Aid at Work (3‑day course) or equivalent.
• Risk Assessment & Method Statement qualification.
• Proven experience with steel frame and cladding projects.
• Extensive experience in construction roles such as Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Senior Site Manager.
