Project Manager – Construction Consultancy (Birmingham)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction consultancy projects across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. The role covers the full project lifecycle from inception to handover, requiring close collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors and senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project programmes and schedules.
• Coordinate consultants and support procurement activities.
• Administer contracts and track risks.
• Prepare and deliver regular project reports.
• Chair project meetings and liaise with contractors.
• Perform Employer's Agent duties, including instructions, valuations, change control, progress updates and handover processes.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a construction consultancy environment.
• Project experience across residential, education, healthcare, public sector or mixed‑use developments.
• Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or related field.
• Professional membership (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB) or working towards qualification.
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Strong communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Proactive and professional approach.
