Project Manager – Construction (Yorkshire)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of construction projects across Yorkshire for Sewell Group, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with the company’s Construction Excellence standards. This full‑time, onsite role involves coordinating design teams, subcontractors and internal colleagues from the Elland and Hull offices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery as a single team, collaborating with clients, subcontractors, design teams and internal staff.
• Resource projects appropriately, define roles and responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
• Set clear expectations, drive high performance and maintain positive relationships with the supply chain.
• Maintain site presentation, ensuring clean and tidy site boundaries, roads, welfare and office areas.
• Take responsibility for health, safety and wellbeing on site, leading by example.
• Identify, report and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Control waste, time and material costs to minimise re‑work and financial loss.
• Ensure design delivery meets brief, maintenance requirements, affordability and relevant legislation.
• Comply with environmental regulations and minimise disruption caused by works.

Required profile

• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Qualified to HNC level or above.
• Valid 5‑day CITB SMSTS certificate.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale construction projects and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate teams.
