Project Manager – Data Centre Deployments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead deployment projects in data centres for our client. The role combines strategic planning, stakeholder coordination and hands‑on delivery, with the flexibility of remote working based in Bedford.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of data‑centre deployment projects, including liquid‑cooling solutions.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full‑scale project plans, communication documents and schedule timelines using appropriate tools.
• Liaise continuously with project stakeholders and international partners to ensure successful delivery.
• Prepare budget proposals, monitor financial changes and recommend adjustments.
• Assess staffing needs, recruit additional staff or consultants as required.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Produce progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
• Coordinate with the Service Sales Coordinator to align project objectives with client requirements.
• Build and nurture business relationships vital to project success.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification (preferred).
• Proven experience managing projects in data‑centre environments.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and travel to data‑centre sites when needed.

What we offer

• £50,000 per year plus bonus
• Remote working with occasional travel
• Full‑time permanent contract (Monday‑Thursday 8:30‑17:30, Friday 8:30‑15:00)
