Project Manager – Estates (Public Sector)

About the role

The British Transport Police are seeking two Estates Project Managers to support the A Force on the Move transformation programme. This role offers a blend of office and home working and is open to graduates or early‑career professionals with a construction, engineering, surveying or estates background.

Key responsibilities

• Support and lead delivery of projects within the A Force on the Move programme, modernising the Force’s operations.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver projects on time and within budget, managing the full project lifecycle from business case development to handover.
• Prepare progress reports, track performance, and manage risks, issues and project documentation.
• Build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure collaborative delivery.
• Facilitate transition of completed projects into business‑as‑usual and contribute to lessons‑learned and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• A degree in a relevant discipline such as construction, engineering, surveying or estates.
• Graduate or early‑career professional with an interest in project management.
• Ability to work effectively in a blended home/office environment and manage stakeholder relationships.

What we offer

• Salary of £50,281.08 per annum (plus a £4,613.61 London allowance for the London‑based role).
• Permanent position in Edinburgh and a 23‑month fixed‑term contract in London.
• Hybrid working arrangement (home and office).
• Full‑time role – 37 hours per week.
