Project Manager / Estimator – Construction (UK)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to lead a portfolio of fit‑out, refurbishment and new‑build projects across the UK. You will own the full project lifecycle, from initial client discussion and tender preparation through to on‑site delivery, handover and post‑project review.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive tenders and quotations for projects up to £500,000.
• Conduct site surveys, produce detailed pricing estimates and manage projects to completion.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, overseeing health & safety compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Monitor budgets, identify commercial risks and report financial performance.
• Attend client, design and progress meetings and produce regular progress reports.
• Identify business development opportunities to grow the project portfolio.

Required profile

• Qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing construction projects, particularly fit‑outs, refurbishments and interior build‑outs.
• Demonstrated expertise in estimating, pricing and tendering.
• Experience conducting site surveys and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and client‑facing communication skills.
• SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK‑wide.

Required skills

• Interpretation of construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Use of project management software (advantage).
• Knowledge of construction health & safety legislation.
