Project Manager – Global R&D

About the role

Join the Global Research and Development team at hochiki as a Project Manager. You will lead cross‑functional teams through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring new life‑safety products reach customers on time, within scope and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope in collaboration with technical, product, QA and approvals teams.
• Translate business objectives into clear goals, success criteria and milestones.
• Coordinate delivery teams including Product Management, Software, Hardware, Verification, Quality, Approvals, Procurement and Production Engineering.
• Develop realistic timelines, track progress with Jira and Zoho Projects, and provide status reports to senior management.
• Identify dependencies, risks and blockers early, and work with stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams and senior leadership, influencing decisions as needed.
• Drive continuous process improvement and adoption of best practices.

Required profile

• Formal project‑management qualification such as PRINCE2, APMP or PMP.
• Degree or HND in IT, Software, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Strong planning and prioritisation abilities.
