Project Manager – Heavy Lifting Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the design of heavy‑lifting engineering solutions for critical infrastructure projects, including nuclear, marine and civil works. You will work in a hybrid setting based near Portishead, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient lift and transport systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for heavy‑lifting structures.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs.
• Oversee projects from concept through delivery, ensuring compliance with client and site requirements.
• Engage with clients and site managers to understand technical challenges and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, crane operators and transport providers for equipment up to 500 tonnes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project design and delivery of heavy‑lifting solutions.
• Background in infrastructure sectors such as nuclear, marine, defence or civil engineering.
• Ability to work on‑site in Portishead or commute to the location.
