Project Manager – HVDC Infrastructure (Ireland/UK)

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead large‑scale HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) infrastructure projects across Ireland and the United Kingdom. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with security standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, create and manage detailed project plans, and coordinate with technical specialists.
• Develop financial, schedule, and risk‑management plans in partnership with the Project Controls department.
• Monitor project progress, resource utilization, invoicing, costs, and cash flow.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while capturing lessons learned.
• Manage contract claims, procurement activities, and supplier negotiations.
• Act as primary customer contact, handling escalations and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of proven project‑management experience, including scope, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and vendor management.
• Strong leadership, planning, and organisational abilities.
