Project Manager – Rail Engineering Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead rail engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet budget, programme, quality and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rail projects from cradle to grave, managing budget, schedule and quality.
• Promote safe working practices, efficient processes and continuous improvement.
• Interpret contractual requirements, coordinate resources and engage stakeholders to deliver compliant outcomes.
• Identify new business opportunities, prepare quotations and support tender submissions.
• Monitor costs and ensure compliance with company policies and UK health and safety legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing high‑ and low‑voltage rail installation projects, including substations and transformer replacements.
• Experience delivering electrical works in trackside and depot environments.
• Electrical qualification of at least NVQ Level 3.
• Strong electrical background with a focus on safe, high‑quality installations.
• Track record of building client relationships and contributing to business development.

What we offer

• Salary £55,000 – £60,000 per annum
