Project Manager - Rail

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, Public Health, Fire, Telecoms and BEMs design for the Old Oak Common HS2 gateway station – one of the UK’s most complex rail infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own the programme, budget, quality and safety outcomes for assigned work packages from inception to design completion.
• Co‑lead a multi‑disciplinary design team, ensuring design is delivered on time, on budget and to required detail.
• Manage NEC contract administration, project planning and risk management.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives to drive progress and resolve issues.
• Prepare and submit project documentation and KPIs to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering large infrastructure or construction projects, preferably in rail or complex environments.
• Commercially astute with experience in design‑and‑build contracts.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work three days a week onsite at Old Oak Common, Acton or Elephant & Castle.

Required skills

• MEPHFC systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Fire, Communications) design.
• NEC contract administration.
