Project Manager – RC Frame & Groundworks

About the role

24-7 Staffing is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a major construction project in West Sussex. The role suits someone with a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) frame and groundworks, with a proven track record of managing projects valued between £10 million and £15 million. The pay is £420-£440 per day depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of RC frame and groundworks packages.
• Manage day-to-day site operations so that works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes to meet key deadlines.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, costs and resources to maintain commercial performance.
• Liaise with Construction Managers, engineers, consultants and senior management.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues, and hold regular progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction.
• Demonstrable experience managing projects worth £10m to £15m.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and project resources.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Desirable: degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, and previous experience delivering large-scale RC frame and groundworks projects.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of RC frame and groundworks.
• Understanding of construction methodologies, project programming and site management.
• SMSTS certification, valid CSCS card and First Aid at Work qualification are desirable.
