Project Manager – Resident Engagement

About the role

The Project Manager will embed five resident boards and a new Resident Advisory Panel, fostering collaboration and mutual respect among board members, staff and residents. This role drives the development of board capacity to shape and scrutinise core housing services and ensures effective, meaningful scrutiny of service recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish admin workflows to guarantee full and fair participation across each board.
• Commission and deliver bespoke training programmes for residents, working with tenant training bodies and voluntary sector groups.
• Set up mini‑websites for each board using the Engage Hub to facilitate information sharing and idea exchange.
• Support boards in gathering evidence, drafting reports and providing insight for informed decision‑making.
• Collaborate with service leads to ensure boards receive the right information for fair decision‑making.
• Lead a co‑produced review of the grant programme and commission frameworks for procuring Independent Tenant Advisers.
• Organise payments to participants and ensure compliance with council financial policies and procurement processes.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and in partnership to deliver project outcomes.
• Regular interaction with senior officers, including Strategic Directors, the Council Leader, Cabinet members and Members of Parliament.
