Project Manager / Site Manager – Retail Fit‑Out

About the role

Join a specialist retail fit‑out contractor as a Project Manager / Site Manager on a three‑month assignment at Bicester Village, Oxfordshire. This hybrid role blends strategic project oversight with hands‑on site supervision, delivering a commercial retail fit‑out safely, on time and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site activities, coordinating subcontractors, trades and material deliveries.
• Monitor progress against the programme, resolve issues and report on milestones.
• Liaise with the client, consultants and suppliers, leading project and site meetings.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure correct execution.
• Control quality, manage snagging and support handover.
• Maintain health and safety procedures, site records and documentation.
• Identify and report risks, variations and cost implications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
• Valid Black CSCS Card.
• Ability to combine project management duties with on‑site coordination.
• Experience managing subcontractors, trades and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, drawings and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and problem‑solving skills.
