Project Quantity Surveyor – Luxury Residential Refurbishment

About the role

We are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a fast‑growing construction and development firm delivering high‑end residential projects in London. The successful candidate will work directly with the Managing Director on a £1.8 m luxury refurbishment and will gain exposure to both contractor‑side and developer‑side commercial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement and tendering of subcontract packages.
• Manage subcontractors through the full commercial lifecycle, from cost reporting to final account.
• Prepare valuations, variations and change orders, and oversee monthly applications and invoicing.
• Produce cost forecasts, budget reports and control mechanisms.
• Attend site, client and commercial meetings and collaborate with consultants and subcontractors.
• Support the Site Manager to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• 3‑8 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a main contractor or consultancy.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge of construction projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• MRICS qualification or progress towards chartership is advantageous but not essential.
