Project Quantity Surveyor – Residential Main Contractor

About the role

We are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a growing residential main contractor in London. The role offers genuine project ownership across high‑quality residential, mixed‑use and regeneration schemes, with a hybrid working pattern of office and one day remote per week.

Key responsibilities

• Managing procurement, subcontractor packages, valuations and variations
• Preparing and negotiating subcontract agreements
• Producing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Monitoring project budgets and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payment applications
• Attending project and client meetings, providing commercial input throughout delivery
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes
• Supporting the Commercial Manager and wider commercial team on strategic initiatives

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ quantity surveying experience within a main contractor environment
• Experience on residential, mixed‑use or regeneration projects
• Relevant degree or HNC in a related field
• Ability to take ownership of projects and contribute to commercial success
