Project Safety Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Safety Engineer to join our client’s team based in Milton Keynes, Market Harborough and Kettering. The role involves coordinating installation and maintenance projects across the UK, working closely with the Project Safety Manager to ensure safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Regular nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays are required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Safety Manager in planning and coordinating installation and maintenance projects.
• Supervise subcontract installation teams, allocating tasks according to skill levels.
• Ensure all work follows RAMS, health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Conduct on‑site quality inspections and provide coaching to installers.
• Manage on‑site stock, materials and equipment, completing stock checks and maintaining accurate documentation using Fieldwire.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and to required standards.
• Report site issues, customer concerns and any changes to working methods.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience throughout each project.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience as an Installation Engineer, Project Engineer or Site Engineer.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• CSCS Card.
• CITB Health, Safety & Awareness qualification.
• FLT Reach and Counterbalance licences.
• Experience in impact protection, construction or warehouse environments.
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation and risk assessments.
