Projects Engineer

About the role

Our client, a specialist in commercial heating, ventilation, water infrastructure and electrical services based in Maidstone, is expanding its Projects/Contracts team. The Projects Engineer will be responsible for delivering contracts on time, within budget and to the required health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotes and tender documentation for new and existing contracts.
• Conduct site surveys, liaise with clients and provide technical support on‑site.
• Order materials and plant, and manage direct resources and subcontractors.
• Plan and schedule labour, produce risk assessments, method statements and construction phases.
• Track contract progress, update documentation and report status to directors and stakeholders.
• Maintain health and safety documentation and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification and CSCS Card.
• Proven experience in tendering and estimating commercial mechanical contracts.
• Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and manage budgets.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with project management software.
• Proficiency in CAD.
• Familiarity with SimPro.
