Projects Manager – Refurbishment Construction

About the role

We are a fast‑growing refurbishment construction company operating in the residential care sector. The Projects Manager will own the delivery of multiple renovation projects in occupied care homes, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage several refurbishment projects simultaneously across the UK, with values from £250k to £3m.
• Lead Site Managers and delivery teams, overseeing programmes, procurement and resource allocation.
• Administer JCT contracts, monitor contractual compliance and financial performance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, chair client progress meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure health, safety and quality standards are met on every site.
• Support directors with operational improvements and business growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Contracts or Projects Manager delivering refurbishment projects in occupied buildings.
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑management capability.
• Experience in care homes, healthcare, education or similar live‑operational environments is preferred.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive projects to successful handover.
