Property Adjuster - Essex

About the role

Sedgwick is recruiting Domestic Loss Adjusters across Essex. You will manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims, from visiting customers at their homes and coordinating contractor visits to settling each claim. The role suits detail-oriented problem-solvers who want variety and a rewarding career.

Key responsibilities

• Visit claimants' properties and coordinate visits from contractors
• Settle domestic property damage claims
• Write reports and communicate with policyholders, insurers and contractors
• Manage your own week, prioritising tasks and handling multiple claims at once

Required profile

• A full UK driving licence, as travel by car is essential
• An understanding of how a home insurance policy works and the basic make-up of a domestic property
• Excellent communication skills, including negotiating fair settlements
• Problem-solving ability and time management

Use of Apple software such as iPads or other tablets is helpful but not vital. Sedgwick offers comprehensive Sedgwick-specific training and supports candidates working towards the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification.
