Property Management Team Leader

About the role

An established estate management company in London is seeking a Property Management Team Leader for its South Bank office. You will split your time between leading a team of four property managers and directly managing a personal portfolio of 50 residential properties, working closely with domestic and overseas landlords.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of four property managers, providing day‑to‑day guidance.
• Manage a personal portfolio of 50 properties, ensuring high service standards.
• Take a hands‑on approach to issue resolution, often picking up the phone rather than relying solely on email.
• Act as the escalation point for complex tenant, landlord or property matters.
• Monitor team performance and workloads, redistributing tasks as needed.
• Build strong relationships with a diverse range of landlords, tenants and contractors, including overseas owners.
• Ensure compliance with relevant property and lettings legislation.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential property management, preferably in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
• A hands‑on, proactive approach, comfortable picking up the phone to resolve issues quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across a wide range of backgrounds.
• Solid knowledge of property management processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Capability to manage competing priorities across a personal portfolio and a wider team.
• WeChat experience is helpful but not essential.
