Property Surveyor

About the role

As a Property Surveyor at Specsavers you will join a growing, people‑focused estate team operating from a home‑based setup. You will have real autonomy while being supported by a collaborative group that meets regularly in person. The role sits at the heart of the company’s retail expansion, influencing how the estate evolves across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage lease renewals, rent reviews and a range of asset‑management projects.
• Navigate complex landlord relationships, reviewing service charges, insurance and other costs.
• Negotiate outcomes that protect and create long‑term commercial value.
• Collaborate with business development and retail support teams to align property activity with new store openings, relocations and strategic plans.
• Support licences, landlord disputes, maintenance and compliance matters.
• Travel regularly to stores to understand partner needs and represent Specsavers in key conversations.
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously, balancing detail‑orientation with big‑picture thinking.

Required profile

• Strong commercial awareness and experience in estate or property management.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously while contributing to a supportive team.
• Willingness to travel frequently to store locations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
