Property Underwriter

About the role
We are seeking a Property Underwriter to join our growing financial services team in north Bristol. This newly created position supports our expanding loan portfolio following significant recent funding.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and underwrite property loan applications.
- Identify and resolve risk issues associated with applications.
- Approve or reject applications in line with policy and mandate.
- Recommend exceptions to the Head of Lending when applications fall outside standard criteria.
- Review valuation and credit reports to verify application data.
- Liaise with brokers, borrowers and professional partners throughout the underwriting process.
Required profile
- Proven experience in underwriting, preferably within property or mortgage lending.
- Strong communication and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
