Proposition Manager – UK Wealth Management (London)

About the role

The Proposition Manager will own the end‑to‑end wealth management proposition for the UK market, ensuring it delivers fair value to clients while meeting regulatory expectations. This senior role sits at the heart of the proposition governance framework and works closely with senior leaders to shape strategy and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead proposition governance and run the Proposition Governance Committee.
• Produce and present key papers, including the annual holistic Client Fair Value Assessment.
• Own reporting of client fair value metrics and Consumer Duty outcomes.
• Define clear market positioning and differentiation aligned to corporate strategy.
• Partner with senior leaders to evolve the proposition, enhancing client outcomes and competitiveness.
• Enhance proposition MI and reporting to identify risks, enable swift escalation and mitigate client harm.
• Interpret complex data to inform proposition decisions and act as trusted adviser to executive leadership.
• Lead impact assessments for industry, competitor and regulatory change, overseeing actions to closure.
• Ensure alignment with internal governance frameworks and evolving regulatory expectations.
• Manage third‑party relationships, including significant outsourced service providers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in wealth management and financial planning, with strong competitor awareness.
• Proven end‑to‑end proposition management and oversight within wealth management.
• Deep understanding of mass‑affluent financial planning products, client advice journeys, governance and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of the UK wealth and asset management regulatory landscape, especially the Consumer Duty.
• Advanced commercial and analytical capability, adept at working with complex data.
