Proxy SME – 12 month contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Proxy SME to join our client’s team on a 12‑month contract. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in Chester and two days remote, and focuses on implementing and engineering Skyhigh Security Web Gateway proxy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and configure Skyhigh Security Web Gateway proxies and related devices.
• Collaborate with support teams, business lines and third‑party vendors to deliver seamless solutions.
• Elicit, analyse and document technical and service requirements.
• Maintain design patterns and contribute to architectural standards.
• Participate in change management and manage stakeholder requirements across projects.
• Provide third‑level escalation support for production network issues.
• Identify and manage risks, and keep documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Strong implementation, architecture and engineering experience in routing, switching and security technologies.
• Ability to translate high‑level architectures into detailed, technically viable plans.
• Experience with dynamic routing protocols and firewall rule configuration.
• Business analysis and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of financial institution culture and compliance requirements.

What we offer

• Daily rate up to £600 (inside IR35 via umbrella)
