PSV Mechanic – Electric Coach Fleet (Dundee)

About the role

Ember, the UK’s first all‑electric coach company, is expanding its fleet of 118 electric coaches and needs a skilled PSV Mechanic based in Dundee. You will work across the fleet, supporting sites in Aberdeen, Livingston and Inverness, and help keep the coaches on the road with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve immediate mechanical and electrical issues on electric coaches.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance to stay ahead of potential failures.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to identify root causes and develop long‑term solutions.
• Utilise remote diagnostics and Ember’s proprietary software for efficient fault finding.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair.
• IRTEC accreditation.
• At least 2 years of senior‑level experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less) and familiarity with DVSA compliance.
• Willingness to work on high‑voltage systems (preferred).

Required skills

• High‑voltage training (preferred).
• Experience with fleet management systems.
• Proficiency in remote diagnostics tools.
