PSV Technician – Full‑time, Bracknell

About the role

Thames Valley Buses are seeking a self‑motivated PSV Technician to join their engineering team at the Bracknell depot. You will be responsible for maintaining a modern bus fleet, ensuring safety, reliability and on‑time service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, inspections and repairs to keep the fleet road‑worthy and compliant.
• Diagnose and rectify driver‑reported defects promptly to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Perform advanced mechanical and electronic diagnostics on modern bus systems.
• Record faults and remedial work accurately using tablet‑based digital documentation systems.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, maintain a clean workspace and report any hazards.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Public Service Vehicle maintenance, or at least five years’ proven PSV repair experience.
• IRTEC Vehicle Inspector qualification (or willingness to obtain it within six months, with support).
• Full PCV licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced workshop environment.
