Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

About the role

The NHS Talking Therapies Southwark team is looking for enthusiastic Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to deliver low‑intensity CBT‑based interventions for patients with depression and anxiety. You will work flexibly across telephone, video and face‑to‑face settings, supporting a diverse local population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and deliver low‑intensity CBT interventions via telephone, video or in‑person sessions.
• Provide therapy in GP surgeries, satellite clinics or from home, according to service needs.
• Participate in weekly team meetings, individual case supervision and fortnightly clinical skills supervision groups.
• Shadow or facilitate treatment groups such as “Overcoming Worries” and “Connecting with You”.
• Engage in CPD training for specific client groups (perinatal, older adults, young people, long‑term conditions).

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and passionate about developing therapeutic skills.
• Committed to a person‑centred, evidence‑based approach.
• Willing to work flexibly and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Experience delivering low‑intensity CBT‑based interventions.
• Ability to conduct telephone and video therapy sessions.
• Competence in face‑to‑face therapy within clinical settings.
