Psychologist – Specialist Day School (Preston)

About the role

Join Witherslack Group as a Psychologist working three days a week at Bridgeway School, an independent specialist day school in Preston. You will support children and young people with autism, neuro‑developmental needs, trauma, sensory processing and communication difficulties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, formulation and individualized therapeutic interventions for pupils.
• Collaborate with educational and residential staff to create therapeutic learning and living environments.
• Deliver consultation, workshops, training and guidance to school and children’s home teams.
• Contribute to multi‑disciplinary case discussions and care planning.

Required profile

• Qualified Psychologist (e.g., BPS‑registered) with experience working with children or young people.
• Understanding of autism, neuro‑developmental conditions and associated complexities.
• Ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary team and communicate effectively with staff.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and formulation.
• Design and delivery of therapeutic interventions.
• Consultation and training facilitation.
