About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Psychology and Sociology teachers for a range of opportunities across secondary schools and sixth‑form colleges in Cheshire. Roles vary from long‑term placements and permanent vacancies to fixed‑term contracts, maternity cover and daily supply work throughout the academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Psychology and/or Sociology for KS5 students.
• Provide GCSE‑level instruction in the subject when required.
• Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Psychology and/or Sociology at Key Stage 5.
• Ability to teach the subject at GCSE level if needed.
• Passion for student development and academic success.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and Sociology.
• Effective lesson‑planning and delivery techniques.
• Classroom management and behaviour management skills.
