Public Procurement Solicitor – Edinburgh/Glasgow/Aberdeen

About the role

We are seeking a Public Procurement Solicitor to join our growing commercial team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of non‑contentious procurement matters for public and private sector clients, based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on procurement strategy, contract awards, variations and regulatory compliance.
• Draft and review procurement documentation and related contractual agreements.
• Support clients throughout procurement exercises, identifying and resolving legal and commercial issues.
• Assist with tender processes and respond to procurement‑related queries.
• Collaborate with colleagues on commercial projects where procurement expertise is required.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development where appropriate.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with approximately 1‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Interest in or experience of procurement law.
• Strong drafting, analytical and legal research abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercial, pragmatic approach to delivering advice.
• Ability to manage own workload while working collaboratively.
