Public Relations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to act as the company’s official external representative in the United Kingdom. You will lead public engagement, build strategic relationships with government bodies, retailers, media and industry organisations, and shape the company’s reputation and brand presence across the UK market.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary external representative, establishing trusted communication channels with government departments, public authorities and industry associations.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with major retailers, supermarket chains and commercial partners, supporting stakeholder engagement and resolving partnership issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with national, regional and trade media, coordinating interviews, press releases and day‑to‑day media engagement.
• Lead the external communications strategy, delivering corporate communications initiatives, brand campaigns and reputation‑building activities.
• Monitor media coverage, public sentiment and industry developments, identifying reputational risks and leading crisis communications when required.
• Build and sustain a high‑quality network of external stakeholders to support long‑term growth and localisation strategy in the UK.

Required profile

• Established career in the UK with deep understanding of the political, media and commercial landscape.
• Full legal right to work full‑time in the UK.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in public affairs, public relations, corporate communications or external affairs, including government engagement and media relations.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills, with confidence to represent the company at senior external levels.
• Preferably an existing network across UK government, media and major retail organisations.
