Publisher – Chemistry Journals

About the role

We are looking for a Publisher to lead a portfolio of chemistry journals, focusing on analytical and physical chemistry. You will work with leading researchers, editors and academic societies worldwide to enhance the impact and growth of our publications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of analytical chemistry journals, taking full responsibility for their performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with external editors, authors and academic stakeholders.
• Collaborate with researchers and subject‑matter experts to ensure high‑quality peer‑reviewed content.
• Oversee publishing workflows and drive strategic initiatives across regions (UK, Netherlands, China).
• Utilise AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT to support editorial processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience managing academic journals or journal portfolios (preferred).
• Experience working with editors and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of academic journal operations; editorial experience is a plus.
• Research background in chemistry or analytical chemistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team.

• Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).
