Purchase Ledger Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a confident finance professional to manage a busy purchase ledger for a medium‑sized hospitality business. This temporary, full‑time position offers the chance to take ownership of invoice processing and supplier relationships in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process high volumes of purchase invoices quickly and accurately.
• Match, batch and code invoices.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries promptly.
• Reconcile supplier statements and clear outstanding items.
• Assist with payment runs.
• Build positive relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Support the wider finance team as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a high‑volume purchase ledger role.
• Ability to work independently from day one.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Strong communication skills and professional confidence at all levels.
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
