Purchase & Sales Ledger Administrator – Fixed Term

About the role

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a Purchase & Sales Ledger Administrator on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working hybrid (three days on site in Wallingford and two days remote), you will support the Central Finance Team by ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices and timely collection of customer payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger invoices, including managing authorisation.
• Resolve purchase ledger queries with suppliers and internal cost‑centre owners.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
• Process all sales ledger transactions accurately and promptly.
• Manage overdue accounts, preventing new orders to delinquent customers.
• Maintain professional communication with customers regarding inquiries, disputes, and payment arrangements.
• Provide support during the annual audit period.
• Process ad‑hoc payments and match them to the ledgers.
• Reconcile bank deposits and payments as required.
• Undertake other ad‑hoc duties as they arise.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a purchase ledger role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Clear and effective communication skills across departments.
• Positive, proactive attitude and flexibility to adapt processes.
