Purchasing Administrator

About the role

The Purchasing Administrator will join a small procurement team within a global pharmaceutical company, supporting the timely and cost‑effective supply of medicinal products and packaging materials.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with suppliers and carriers to arrange cost‑effective and time‑efficient collections.
• Prepare and provide documentation to ensure smooth transit of goods.
• Maintain up‑to‑date data for decision‑making and reporting.
• Place accurate purchase orders for pharmaceutical and packaging material orders, ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Source packaging materials from approved suppliers while considering transport, storage and supply‑chain costs.
• Keep Customer Service and Sales teams informed of order status via regular communication and SAP updates.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or buying within a pharmaceutical environment is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload with changing priorities.
• Good system aptitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
