Python Developer

About the role

McGregor Boyall is partnering with a leading quantitative investment manager to build a brand‑new, bespoke application for the fund's Operations function. As a Python Developer you will create automation systems for trade‑processing workflows, design custom data‑visualisation tools and shape web applications using modern Python stacks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services with Flask, Django or FastAPI.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualisations using Plotly or Dash.
• Implement data pipelines and analytical tools with Pandas and NumPy.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Collaborate with C‑suite stakeholders to translate financial data challenges into technical solutions.
• Contribute to cloud‑based deployment and infrastructure on AWS.

Required profile

• 2‑6 years of professional experience as a Python developer.
• Understanding of financial operations, trade processing or related back‑office environments.
• Ability to work on‑site five days a week in London and communicate with multiple stakeholder groups.
